What is an AI trading journal?

An AI trading journal combines saved trade records and performance analysis with a conversational review tool. In CybillAI, you can ask questions about your journal inside the app, explore the records behind an observation and discuss what to review next. You do not need a separate ChatGPT or Claude connection to use Cybill coaching.

The quality of a review depends on what you record. Prices and P&L describe outcomes; notes, original risk, setup rules and recorded emotions add context. A losing trade alone cannot establish fear, FOMO or revenge trading.

My win rate is 50%. What should I review?

Look beyond the win rate.

These 12 example trades include 6 wins, 5 losses and 1 break-even result. Together they total A$210.00.

Compare your larger losses with your saved entry and exit rules. Add the context that numbers alone cannot show.

From uploaded trades to a useful review

  1. 1. Build the record

Add trades manually or import a supported CSV. Broker connection availability depends on the provider. Check symbols, dates, costs and open versus closed status against the source.

  2. 2. Ask a specific question

Compare recorded results by instrument, setup or entry time. Ask Cybill which trades support an observation, how many were included and what information is missing.

  3. 3. Keep a continuing focus

Choose a review focus, return to its supporting trades and inspect eligible later results. A fresh daily briefing does not mean new trade evidence has arrived.

Questions you can explore with Cybill

Which setups need a closer review?

Compare net results with trade count and the largest contributing winner. A small profitable group is a reason to investigate, not proof of a repeatable edge.

Did I follow my entry and exit rules?

Use saved setup rules, notes and available execution records. Late entries and early exits require a recorded plan to compare against.

What happened after a loss?

Inspect timing, sizing and your notes. Suggested behaviour tags are review candidates; you can review or dismiss them in Discipline Review.

What changed since the last review?

Revisit the saved focus and check whether later eligible closed trades add evidence. Missing original risk or changed currency can limit comparisons.

Coaching grounded in your records

Cybill Insights brings together a daily briefing, areas to investigate and a continuing focus. Trading DNA helps you explore connections between recorded emotions, setups, markets and results. Open the contributing trades before changing a rule, and review later periods using consistent filters.

AI interpretations can be wrong. Historical patterns do not establish causation or predict returns, and coaching does not prevent losses or place trades on your behalf.

AI trading journal questions

Is AI coaching available on the Free plan?

Free includes up to 30 saved trades, basic journaling and review tools, and Cybill Hub membership with optional manual trade sharing. AI coaching and Cybill Insights are Pro features. Check the pricing page for the current plan details.

Does Cybill know how I felt during a trade?

Only the context you record can support that discussion. Missing emotions remain missing; a rapid re-entry or losing trade does not by itself prove an emotional motive.

Can I talk through a review instead of typing?

Pro chat includes optional voice input and spoken replies. You can also type your question and read the written answer.

Do I need to move my journal into another AI app?

No. Cybill coaching is available within the CybillAI workspace, alongside your saved journal and analysis tools.
