Choose your preferred currency for aggregate performance metrics — typically your home currency.

How to set it

  1. 1Navigate to Settings from the sidebar
  2. 2Find the "Base Currency" dropdown under Trading Preferences
  3. 3Select your preferred currency: AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, JPY, or HKD
  4. 4Click "Save Preferences"
  5. 5All aggregate metrics (total P&L, dashboard stats, analytics) now display in your chosen currency
  6. 6Individual trades still show in their native currency for accuracy and clarity
3

How Currency Detection Works

Automatic currency assignment based on stock symbol suffixes — you never have to manually set currency per trade.

Symbol → currency mapping

  • ASX stocks (.AX suffix) → Australian Dollar (AUD) — e.g. CBA.AX, BHP.AX
  • US stocks (no suffix) → US Dollar (USD) — e.g. AAPL, TSLA, NVDA
  • London Stock Exchange (.L suffix) → British Pound (GBP) — e.g. BP.L, LLOY.L
  • Toronto Stock Exchange (.TO suffix) → Canadian Dollar (CAD)
  • Tokyo Stock Exchange (.T suffix) → Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • Hong Kong Exchange (.HK suffix) → Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
  • European exchanges (.PA, .DE, .MI suffixes) → Euro (EUR)
  • CFD indices and forex: use the broker’s recorded result currency; an underlying index currency does not establish the CFD P&L currency

Understanding Currency Display

How currencies appear throughout the platform — clarity at every level.

Where each currency shows

  • Trade List: Each trade shows native currency symbol (A$150, $45, £-32)
  • Trade Details: Entry and exit prices use instrument units; P&L uses its recorded result currency
  • Trading Calendar: Individual daily P&L shown in native currency per trade
  • Dashboard: Total P&L, win rate, and aggregate metrics converted to base currency
  • Analytics: All summary statistics displayed in your base currency
  • Mixed portfolio example: Australian and US trades both show accurately
  • Currency symbols used: A$ (AUD), $ (USD), £ (GBP), € (EUR), C$ (CAD), ¥ (JPY), HK$ (HKD)

Exchange Rate System

How the conversion engine works behind the scenes.

  • Rates update automatically every 24 hours via scheduled cron job
  • 245 currency pairs stored in the database for comprehensive coverage
  • All major currency pairs supported without exception
  • Historical rates preserved so your past P&L remains accurate over time
